Question
i seem to be having a problem i beleive. when i power up 1 of the
2 switches in my plane the other on comes on as well no matter that its turned
off. both of them do this whats the deal?? could this be correct for the power
to back feed to another switch??? it does not do this on any of my wolverines or
badgers. iam using 2 wolverines, 3 badgers and 2 kodiaks total in my fleet and
only the kodiaks do this... turn one on and the other one lights up NOT GOOD.
little help please
Answer
You
have no worries. There is not current back flow, nor will you counter be
incorrect. What you are seeing is just voltage lighting up the back end of the
Kodiak switch. An easier way to think of this is using a water analogy. If this
were a pipe being fed from the other switch, you would have water there, things
would be wet, but it would not be going anywhere, flow meter would read zero, if
it was clear plastic pipe you would be able to see the water, (lights). On the
Diode, yes, uhh no. Using the water analogy again. Diode like a check valve in
water and would cause a flow restriction. Since the Kodiak was designed with
A123 and is capable of 30amp currents, a flow restriction was not an option, +
it is added un-needed cost.
