Badger Current Draw in OFF State

Current Draw in OFF state
Nominal current draw on an "off" badger switch is
21uA, which is comparable in magnitude with the self-discharge rate of the pack
(1/2mA-h per day). It can be used in the same way as a mechanical switch,
because this draw is so minimal.
The pin-and-flag or slider switch are
used to pass a control signal to the solid state element, not to actually pass
current. The slider is easy to turn on and off when the switch is mounted
on something that's vibrating; the advantage of the pin is that you're holding
the only moving part in your hand when the switch is turned on.
Wiring is
16ga (14ga for "custom" wiring lengths) for the heavy stuff, and 22ga, 6" in and
out when we set up a badger with universal (JR) type connectors.
