Using 8 Ball to check 11_1v Lithium Polymer Packs

This really depends on when the 8 Ball as purchased.  If it has been purchased in the last Year and half, then yes, your 8 Ball will do a load check just fine on a 3 cell pack.  If you have an older model, it will not read accurately.
